Categories and subcategories

In “Categories”, the donut in the middle shows where your money goes. The categories around it are yours: add the ones you're missing and group what belongs together into subcategories.

1. Tap the center of the donut: it switches between expenses and income. The chosen total is shown large, the other one smaller below it.
2. For a new category, tap the pencil at the top right (“Edit mode”), then “New”: it appears in the first free spot, usually after the last category; if you don't see it, swipe to the next page. Choose a name, color and icon, tap “Save” and finally “Done”.
3. For a subcategory, create it the same way with “New” and pick the main category under “Parent category”. If that category already has subcategories, tap it and then “+ Subcategory”.

Ka'i's tip: Subcategories keep the screen tidy: “Car” stays a single tile showing the total of fuel, parking and repairs, and tapping it shows the breakdown. To hide what you don't use, tap the category in edit mode (if it has subcategories, then “Edit category”), turn on “Hide” and tap “Save”. Your entries stay put.
