Deleting your Kaioro account and data

This page explains how to permanently delete your Kaioro account and all associated data. You can do it yourself in the app, or request it in writing if you no longer have the app installed.
First: export anything you want to keep
Deletion is irreversible. If you want to keep your history, export it first:
Settings → Export → choose a format → Export
Kaioro produces the file as CSV, JSON, PDF or XLSX and saves it on your device. That file is yours and is not deleted by the process described below.
Option 1 — Delete in the app (recommended)
- Open Kaioro.
- Go to Settings.
- Open the account section.
- Select "Sign out and delete my data".
- Read the warning and confirm by typing the word requested.
Deletion is carried out immediately. There is no request and no waiting period.
Option 2 — Request in writing
If you have already uninstalled the app or can no longer access it, write to:
privacy@getkaioro.com
State in your message the email address of the Google account you used to sign in to Kaioro. It is the only detail that allows your data to be located, as we store no other identifying information.
We will process the request within 30 days at most and confirm the deletion in writing. In practice the process is usually completed within a few working days.
What exactly is deleted

What is not deleted
- Files you exported yourself to your device or elsewhere. They are outside our reach; delete them yourself if you wish.
- Your Google account. Kaioro only uses it to identify you; deleting your Kaioro account does not affect your Google account in any way.
- Error reports already transmitted. These are pseudonymised technical data with no financial content, and they expire automatically after no more than 90 days.
If you use Kaioro without an account
If you never signed in, there is no account to delete and no data of yours on any server. Your data resides exclusively on your device. To erase it, simply uninstall the app — or use the reset function in the settings if you prefer to keep the app installed.
